Based in Helsinki

Satu Metsola is a Finnish artist and curator based in Helsinki. She holds an MA in Art History from the University of Helsinki and recently completed a BA in Fine Arts at the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences.

Alongside a long career as a curator at several leading art institutions in Helsinki, she has maintained an active artistic practice focused on painting. In recent years, Metsola has presented solo exhibitions in Finland and was invited to exhibit as part of the London Fashion Week 2025 programme. Working primarily with oil paint and oil pastels, she also creates abstract ceramic sculptures. Her practice is deeply informed by meditation, which shapes both her creative process and visual language.
