Christina Rahme

Based in Lebanon

Christina Rahme was born in Beirut-Lebanon in 1976. She is a Lebanese photographer specializing in fashion, jewelry, editorial, and advertising photography.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in Photography with honors from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) in Lebanon in 2000. Since then, she has showcased her work through numerous solo and group exhibitions. Rahme has taught photography at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where she was involved in courses such as PHO 211.

Christina's professional career is as substantial as her academic journey. She has worked with many renowned advertising agencies and magazines, capturing stunning images in various genres including fashion, jewelry, advertising, portraiture, and architecture. Her versatility and creativity have earned her a solid reputation as a photographer in the industry.

In addition to her professional career, for the past twelve years, Christina has been sharing her knowledge and expertise with the next generation of photographers at the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut. Initially joining as a part-time faculty member, she is now an adjunct professor, deeply passionate about contributing to the growth and development of her students. Overall, Rahme's passion for photography and her strong commitment to teaching make her a stand out figure in the field.

For Christina, the theme "Aligned to the Horizon" of the 2025 Amalia Gardens Residency is truly fitting and inspiring for this initiative. In her view, this being the inaugural edition of this artistic residency, it connects all the disciplines together while maintaining endless possibilities, the horizon symbolizing an infinite future full of potential and creativity.
